I am a photographer living on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. I started taking photos using a Pentax KM at school in the early 80s; a camera that ensured I had to understand the essential fundamentals of photography especially the balance between shutter speed and aperture (and film ISO)...and the darkroom. No automatic functions back then!

After my film gear was stolen in the late 90s, I took a break and reinvigorated my passion once digital cameras started to hold their fore with film; for me that meant the advent of Olympus EP3 in the early 2000's. I have stayed with Olympus/OMS with the OM1 due to its lightweight format and significant technical advantages e.g. Pro Capture, in camera and lens stabilisation and in-built ND filters.

I don't have any particular subject focus as an amateur...just an inherent passion to challenge my right brain, suppressed after 40+ years of institutional, corporatised left-brain dominance.

I have won awards and recognition in Photo Review Australia, Better Photography, Australian Photography magazines, and my photos have been displayed at the Australian Centre for Photography; and my Rockpools portfolio appeared as an article in Photo Review Australia March to May 2024 edition I hope you like the photos
